UCAPS Dog Bowl
• The Dog Bowl will take place on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the El Dorado Conference Center.
• 10-10:30 a.m. — Dog Bowl Showcase registration in the South lawn parking lot
• 10:40 a.m. — Dog Bowl Parade, meets at registration table in South lawn parking lot • 11 a.m. — Dog Bowl Show- case at the South lawn parking lot
• Dogs can compete in the Bow-Wow Strut and Doggie Do Talent Show
• Awards will be presented
in these categories: Best Dressed, Cutest, Scruffiest, Most Congenial, Best Trick, Best Kisser, Best Catcher, Most Beautiful/Handsome, Best of Breed.

music from regional and local artists. Cummins Prison Band, made up of musicians currently incarcerated at the Cummins Unit prison south of Pine Bluff; Aces Wild, a rock cover band based out of Little Rock; and LB Crew, El Dorado native turned “The Voice” star, will all perform.
Another major change is the Expo’s layout. Because of continued construction at the intersection of Washington and Locust Streets, the Expo has moved one block north, towards Main Street.
Staples of the Expo, like the LANXESS Kid’s World bouncy houses, the rib cook-off and the outdoor photo contest will also go on this year. Children’s activities will include face painting, a magic show, archery and

The SouthArk Foundation typically
uses proceeds from the Expo to help fund scholarships and special initiatives at the college. This year’s proceeds will go to the college’s new athletic program, the SouthArk Stars basketball team.
The SouthArk Outdoor Expo is free to attend; event organizers ask that attendees bring a canned or packaged food item to donate upon entry. Food donations will benefit the Interfaith Help Services Food Pantry.
“Our board of directors decided years ago to waive an entry fee and
to provide all activities at no cost,” Reyna said. “We know that this allows many more families and their children to enjoy a healthy and fun family- oriented day.”
