again open up ‘Safety Street’ at the Expo, where representatives from the El Dorado Police and Fire Departments and the Union County Sheriff’s Office will offer demonstrations on safety.
This year, the Expo’s staple car show and competition will no longer be a competitive event. Instead,
the antique muscle cars, hot rods and imports will be available for enjoyment without rivalries.
Among the 70-80 vendors inside the El Dorado Conference Center will be selling items like fishing equipment, duck calls, hunting gear and other products to use in the great outdoors.
A new addition to the vendors
are five food trucks currently
slated to participate in the Expo. More may be added before Sept. 7. The participating food trucks are Candley’s Cookin’, Juicy J Chicken & Fish, What’z Poppin’ Kettle Corn, Kong Ice and RJ’s Sports Bar & Grill.

Rib Cook-off
• The rib cook-off
will be held Saturday, Sept. 7.
• Cooking time begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.
• Participants must set up Friday, Sept. 6, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Washington Street set up location.
• Entry fee is $100 per team.
• Over $5,000 in prizes.
