In the event that each team wins only one match versus their op- ponents (a tie) the team who won the previous year will retain the trophy. Since 1972, a three-way tie has hap- pened just three times — in 1974, 1976 and 1980 with the Navy coasting ontheirvictoryfromtheyearbefore. Talk about incentive to win, right?
