month and Merle Norman of El Dorado. They also offer pick-up by contacting the group on Facebook, phone or text. Giving is easy and rewarding.
The current pantries in place are:
October – Salvation Army- 4,000 item goal.
November – AGAPE house - Goal to be announced.
December – St. Paul Methodist Church - Goal to be announced.
January 2018 – First
United Methodist Church in Smackover - Goal to be announced.
February 2018 – Interfaith at St Mary’s - Goal to be announced.
SAPF’s pantry “success” is measured utilizing an item goal. For example, Salvation Army Pantry’s goal is 4,000 items. Every food item donated counts as an item. These counts are then reported back to the group by text, email, private message or Facebook post where administrators keep the information and then report back with totals to their members. Reporting with a donation picture will qualify individuals for
entries into the participation drawing and ensures proper item goal count.
SAPF also reaches out to local businesses for help by asking for donations for par- ticipation prizes. They also are asking area business- es to be a future collection site, as these collection sites will be mentioned in all for- mats: paper, radio and social media. By offering to help, your business may experi- ence an increase in foot traf- fic by allowing the commu- nity to drop off donations at your establishment.
