St. Mary’s invites the public for worship services
At St. Mary’s Episcopal Church there are a number of opportu- nities for worship, growth and service for all ages.
We celebrate Holy Communion at 8 a.m., 1 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sundays, and at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in the church. We also read psalms, hear daily Bible readings and pray each morning at 8:30 Monday through Friday at Morning Prayer (use handi- capped entrance to the church). The church is located at 512 Champagnolle Road, next door to Young’s Funeral Home. Their parking lot across the street is available during services at St. Mary’s.
There is a Sunday School class in the Parish Hall for children at 9 a.m., and Children’s Chapel at 10 a.m., during the first half of the service. Children return to the
Plans

David’s plan, not God’s.
Yes, God has a plan for us. It
does include hope of a future of peace — with Him. That’s exactly “why” He made a plan for the world that included sending His son Jesus Christ to earth to die on a cross.
God has a plan for this year and beyond. He has a plan that will place you where He wants you. A plan that will reflect the
church to be with their parents for Communion. On Wednesdays after school in the Parish Hall, we have Wednesday Kids. This includes a snack, recreation, chap- el led by the rector (pastor) and a class. This concludes at 5:15 p.m.
Our youth group meets Sunday afternoons from 5:30-7 p.m. They eat dinner, pray and have pro- grams ranging from service proj- ects to activities such as scaven- ger hunts around the neighbor- hood. Recently they cooked and froze dinners which they took to shut-ins, visiting with them in their homes.
For adults, we have a Sunday morning class in the Parish Hall at 9 a.m. Currently, it is a general introduction to the Bible. Starting Feb. 14 it will be about four acts of love which make a church irre- sistible to others.
future and hope He offers, on His terms, in His time and in His way. Trust that truth and settle into the place where He leads you. He really does know what He is doing even if it does not always look or feel like it.

There is also a Brown Bag Bible Study in the Parish Hall at noon on Wednesdays (bring your own lunch if you wish). We are current- ly studying Mark’s Gospel, and beginning Feb. 17, it will be about “Holy Week in John’s Gospel.”
The rector teaches a men’s Bible class at 7 a.m. on Thursday mornings in the library of First Presbyterian Church. The Gospel of Mark is currently being stud- ied.
On the second Tuesday of each month, the Daughters of the King and the Brotherhood of St. Andrew meet for prayer and study. These groups are for women and men respectively. Meetings are in the Parish Hall.
Opportunities to serve at St. Mary’s include Interfaith Help Services, located in our facility and operated by 13 congregations
Just think....
You’re here not by chance, but by Gods choosing,
His hand formed you
and made you
the person you are.
He compares you to no one else - you are one of a kind.
You lack nothing
that His grace can’t give you.
He has allowed you to be here
at this time in history
to fulfill His special purpose
for this generation.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
in El Dorado. Volunteers to sack groceries and interview clients are always needed.
On the second Thursday of the month from 9 a.m. on is “Cooking Together.” Volunteers gather in the kitchen in the Parish Hall to use ingredients purchased by IHS from the Arkansas Food Bank to create frozen dishes to be dis- tributed with other food items by IHS.
The Parish Hall is located on Madison Avenue at Church Street on the block behind Young’s Funeral Home.
All of our activities are free and open to all. For more informa- tion or to ask questions, please email the rector, Father Chuck Chapman, at episcopaleldorado@ att.net, or call the church office at (870) 863-7064. Visit us on face- book under episcopaleldorado.
