Changes abound for Wildcats this season

EL DORADO - For the first time since Scott Reed’s first year at El Dorado, the Wildcats failed to advance to the semifinals of the 6A playoffs last season. Of course, they fell just a few yards short of that mile- stone, losing at Benton 20-12 in the quarterfinals.
For most schools, a 6-6 season against a rigorous schedule would be considered satisfactory, at the least. For El Dorado, it meant time for changes.
The Wildcats have revamped their special teams and added wrinkles on both sides of the ball as they prepared for a new-look season in a brand new conference - the 6A West. The new league brings in
Russellville, Greenwood and Siloam Springs while Pine Bluff, Little Rock Parkview and Little Rock Hall move out.
El Dorado also added 7A powerhouse Cabot to the non-conference schedule in Week 2.
