In today’s troubled world where do you find inspiration?

In a world where it often seems you just cannot escape news about robberies, mur- ders, rapes, terrorism and corruption of all kinds, it can sometime seem impossible
to maintain a posture of inspiration. It can often make one wonder what the world is coming too — what’s happening to man- kind?
Add to that the direction society seems
to be headed where people air their dirty laundry on Facebook, get into written Facebook fights, call people names and demean anyone they disagree with or don’t like — all for the entire world to see.
Sometimes it just may make you wonder if you are the only sane, well-adjusted per- son in the world. That’s why finding ways to stay motivated in a positive way is more important than ever. Finding sources of inspiration has become vital.
We all carry our own weight, and in some cases the weight of others when it comes to dealing with personal challenges, loss and the unexpected strife life’s hand may deal us.
That made us wonder; where do local residents find their inspiration to get up every day and do the things they need to do — in many cases the things that really matter? So, we turned to our readers on

Facebook and asked, “In today’s troubled world where do you find inspiration?” The following are some of the comments that readers shared with us. Maybe they will be helpful to you.
Michelle Webb — My inspiration comes from my girls...
Tonya Lee Burns — My inspiration comes for God! Everyday His grace and mercy
is shown to me. He has placed people in my path good and bad. It was all for me to learn from and make me a better person. Just God’s grace inspires me to want to do more, learn more, and encourage others more!
Natalie LeMaire Fruge’ — My 24-year- old daughter who has a chronic kidney disease since she was 16 years old. She has received a kidney transplant, grad- uated high school, gone to college, dis- ease claimed the new kidney while she is attending college. She never complained. She never quit. She keeps going staying positive and faithful always.
Oh, we are proud she graduated in June from SAU with a bachelor of art’s degree. Now she is thinking possibly law school, all of this while numerous hospital stays and dialysis three days a week for four hours a day.
I say she’s an inspiration everyday but that’s a huge understatement.
Chris Porter — The word of God.
Patricia Herring — Watching my grand- son discover new things...
Veolette Pennington — My Jesus Calling book.
James Willis — My greatest inspiration comes from the Bible. Yet, I also find inspi-

every time they wake up and I
hear them laugh and play like kids should...watch-
ing them do their homework...getting their report cards... hearing them pray...even watch- ing them sleep. That is our future ~ they give me hope.
Pamela Hilliard — Simply, my children
and grandchildren.
Kristen Warren — I find my inspiration
in God and the people He’s placed in my life, from my beautiful babies who see things with such innocence to my single mother who would give her last dollar for anyone who needed it to my aunt battling stage 4 cancer and demonstrating faith we all need to strive for. They all inspire me daily to be a strong, determined woman of faith!
