Recent Renovations at Corporate Location
EL DORADO — First Financial Bank has deep roots in the community of El Dorado. It first opened in 1934 and currently serves our area with six retail banking locations along with five ATM locations in Union County. The area’s leading bank in terms of market share, they continue to invest in our community and expand their operations to better serve their custom- ers. They recently completed a major renovation proj- ect at First Financial Center in downtown El Dorado, their corporate headquarters. The building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, now features an expanded full-service retail branch. Although renovations usually imply modernization, they also approached the project with an eye to the past as well, striving to restore many of the beautiful historic features of the building.
“With the additional foot traffic and business growth downtown, we wanted to expand our retail branch to better serve our local market. Along with the branch expansion, we have updated areas for our Loan Servicing and Marketing departments on the first floor,” stated Chris Hegi, CEO of First Financial Bank. They welcome the public to stop by and see the beautifully restored retail branch on the first floor and visit with them about products and services to fit their needs.

The Card Valet App Provides Protection and Control
of Your Debit Card
Another exciting new product recently introduced by
First Financial Bank is CardValet, a new mobile debit card app that allows customers to help reduce fraud and manage their accounts through their smartphone.
“We are glad to offer this new tool to our customers. Not only is CardValet user-friendly and convenient, but it will aid in our continued efforts to prevent fraud and identity theft for our cardholders,” stated Cindy Winters, Assistant Vice President of Electronic Banking. “It’s easy to turn on/off from their smart- phone, allowing them to set parameters for when, where and how they want their card to be used.” stated Winters.
It offers the ability to link additional cards to better monitor spending of dependents, such as your teenag- er or college student.
For instance, when a transaction is attempted, declined, or both, real-time alerts can be received on your phone. If a fraudulent transaction is occurring or the card is lost/stolen — they will have the ability to immediately ‘turn off’ their card, preventing further fraud. The on/off feature is only one of the safeguards available with CardValet. Using the GPS location setting in the phone, geographic restrictions can be established. The CardValet app can be downloaded easily from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For more information on CardValet, contact any First Financial Bank location.
